Trine University Application Guide

More and more students, after careful consideration, are choosing Trine University as their ultimate destination for applying for Day 1 CPT. In order to help everyone accurately complete the application, quickly receive admission letters, and obtain exclusive freshman scholarships, we have specially documented the process of applying for Day 1 CPT at Trine University and provided detailed diagrams for all students planning to apply!

Step 1: Create Account

The application portals for the international master’s and doctoral programs at Trine University are different. Please select the appropriate application link based on your needs:

• Master’s Programs (MBA, MSBA, MSEM, MSIS): Click here to apply
• Doctoral Program (DIT): Click here to apply

Under the “First-time Users” section, choose “Create New Account” and fill in your email, name, date of birth, and basic personal information. Proceed to the verification page.

You will receive a temporary password via email consisting of nine digits. After entering this password, set a new login password which will be used only during the application portal.

After successful login, proceed with the following steps: Start New Application >> Create Application >>Open Application.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form

Part 1: Personal Background

Fill in the information in the order provided in the form. Ensure that all details match your ID information to avoid discrepancies when obtaining your I-20. The Permanent Address should be your address in your country of nationality, used for the I-20 application. No physical materials will be sent to this address.

Part 2: International Graduate Enrollment Information

Continue filling out the form in sequence. In this step, specify the program you are applying for, the term of entry, and the campus. Under “Please tell us how you heard about Trine University,” select “International Agent” and enter CISI exclusive refer code ‘Scholar’ in the “List Agency’s Name if applicable” section. You will be eligible to apply for a $500 cash scholarship check provided by CISI.

Part 3: Academic History

For master’s degree applicants, please enter information about your undergraduate degree and school. High school and earlier degrees do not need to be included here. Please enter the information manually if your school cannot be found in the search.

Part 4: Language Score Information

Applicants with a US undergraduate or higher degree can waive the language score requirement. Students eligible for a language score waiver can skip this step. If unsure about your eligibility for a waiver, please confirm with CISI promptly.

Part 5: Signature and Review

Review the information entered earlier, ensure its accuracy, input your full name in the signature section, and click Continue to submit. If not clicked, the form information will be saved automatically but will not be submitted or processed.

Step 3: Document Upload

After completing the above steps, the system will open all file upload channels in about 15 minutes for you to upload your documents, including your Resume, Personal Statement(500 words), Diploma Certificate, Transcript, Passport, and English Test Score (if needed). Please ensure you upload the necessary documents in the order of their respective names.

1. How long do I have to decide whether to accept the offer after receiving admission?

You can take your time, but it’s recommended to decide before the orientation. If you accept, a $500 enrollment fee is required for the school to process your I-20 form.

2. How early should I start my Trine application?

For students outside the US needing an F1 visa interview, it’s advisable to start at least two months in advance. Applicants within the US should aim to complete their applications no later than one month before the start of classes. If domestic applicants miss the deadline, they can contact CISI for expedited admission processing at no cost.

3. What documents are required for Trine’s application?

The preparation is straightforward, including: resume, transcripts, language scores (waivable), diploma, Personal Statement, copies of passport and visa pages.
